Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 8, 2026  ·  Developer: Mars Line Studio  ·  routegrabber.com@gmail.com

This Privacy Policy explains how Mars Line Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Route Grabber Android application (com.routegrabber.app). By using Route Grabber, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

Route Grabber is developed and operated by Mars Line Studio, an independent app development studio. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at routegrabber.com@gmail.com.

2. What Data We Collect

Route Grabber is designed to collect only the minimum data necessary to provide its core functionality.

Account information (when you create an account):

  • Email address and display name (if you sign in with email or Google)
  • Google account public profile (if you use Google Sign-In)
  • An anonymous user ID (if you use Guest mode — no personal details collected)

Automation data (created by you):

  • The tap positions and UI element labels you record during AI Learning sessions — sent to our secure AI backend solely to generate your automation workflow, and never stored after processing
  • Your saved automation workflow configurations (step sequences you create)
  • Run statistics: number of runs, success counts, and timestamps

Usage and diagnostic data:

  • Anonymous usage events (e.g. “automation started”, “screen viewed”) collected via Firebase Analytics — no personal content included
  • Crash reports including device model, OS version, and error stack trace collected via Firebase Crashlytics — no personal data included

3. What We Never Collect

  • Passwords, PINs, or authentication credentials from any app
  • Messages, emails, or any content from messaging apps
  • Financial, banking, or payment information
  • Screenshots or screen recordings — none are ever taken or transmitted
  • Any data from apps you have not explicitly chosen to automate
  • Your location, contacts, microphone, or camera data

4. How We Use Android Permissions

Accessibility Service
Route Grabber uses Android’s Accessibility Service exclusively to dispatch tap gestures at the positions you previously recorded yourself during playback. This service is only active when you manually start an automation run. It does not read screen content, intercept text input, access passwords, or collect any data from other apps. It is used solely to replay your own recorded actions.

Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW)
This permission is used only to display a small floating stop button on top of your target app while an automation is running. This lets you cancel the automation without switching back to Route Grabber. It is not used for advertising, UI overlays, or any other purpose.

Internet
Used to communicate with Firebase (authentication and database) and our secure AI backend for processing automation recordings.

Before any sensitive permission is enabled, Route Grabber displays a full in-app disclosure screen explaining exactly what each permission does and does not do. You must explicitly tap “I Agree & Continue” to proceed. Permissions are never silently enabled.

5. Third-Party Services

Route Grabber uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

  • Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) — manages sign-in and anonymous sessions. Privacy Policy
  • Firebase Firestore (Google LLC) — stores your automation configurations privately. Privacy Policy
  • Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) — anonymous usage analytics. Privacy Policy
  • Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — anonymous crash reporting. Privacy Policy
  • Google Sign-In (Google LLC) — optional authentication method. Privacy Policy
  • Anthropic Claude (Anthropic, PBC) — processes your recorded tap sequence to generate automation steps. Only element labels and tap positions are sent — no screenshots or personal data. Privacy Policy

We do not use any advertising SDKs, data broker SDKs, or tracking SDKs.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your automation data is stored in your own private Firebase Firestore database. Access is protected by security rules that ensure only you can read or write your own data. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial purposes.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. Anonymous crash and analytics data is retained for up to 14 months as per Firebase’s default retention policy.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Withdraw consent for data collection at any time by deleting your account

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at routegrabber.com@gmail.com or use the Delete Account feature inside the app.

9. Children’s Privacy

Route Grabber is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
